Nintendo NX Coming July 2016 (Confirmed???)
« on: July 03, 2015, 02:00:48 PM »

Wii U & 3ds is being supported.
Odds are this is just a new system that will combine both systems, so it can run 3ds & Wii U games.

Unlike the Wii's launch, the Wii U would kind of have many games right from the start. You see, the Wii U only sold about 10,000,000.
That means most of the Wii U's lineup was never played.
Also I'm sure there's many who didn't buy a 3ds either.
With 3rd party liking what they see, a new NX owner could end up buying the following.

1. Super Smash Bros U
2. Super Mario 3d world
3. Mario Maker
4. Splatoon
5. Starfox U
6. Newest 3rd party games
7. Zelda U by the end of 2016
8. Link between Worlds
9. Tri Force Heroes
10. Pokemon (any of the 3ds games)

So, what do you think?

It's going to be the successor to the Virtual Boy and it's going to be awesome. This time it'll have color!

If it lets me play 3ds games on a TV it might be something I'd look into. I haven't gotten a 3ds as I just can't stand playing games on small screens anymore to the point where there are some games I'd like to look into (ex: Link Between Worlds) but won't because of the small screens of the 3ds.

That would be one selling factor, but first I'd need to have a decent amount of 3DS games I'd want to play. So far I've only got Link Between Worlds, which is very good, and Bravely Default, which I haven't gotten around to playing yet.

The OoT remake is probably the best version of the game, so being able to play that on a big screen in 1080p quality would be astounding. Add to that Majora's Mask and Star Fox 64, and you've got a neat nostalgia pack to play along with Zelda U and Star Fox Zero.

I really dropped off playing handheld games after the GBA. There wasn't much on the DS that really appealed to me. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn wasn't as good as the first two, and the ZX games were a SotN extension of the Zero games with only a little X thrown in, so I didn't enjoy it as much as Z1-Z4. I haven't played any of the Castlevania DS games except Order of Ecclesia, which was pretty good, but not much worth a replay. If I'm going to play a more traditional-style Castlevania, I'd rather it be with a traditional-style Belmont player instead of one leaning more towards Dawn of Sorrow or SotN. Lastly, no good Metroids on the DS or the 3DS even. Legends 3 was a missed opportunity, but Dillon's Western game looks fun.
