Aegis: are you dungeon crawling, or there for a quest?  Karthspire can't be completed till a certain point in the MQ.

Rowan: I suggest sneak attacking with a bow, unless you have the Marked for Death shout.  If you do, use that, and attack with fire magic, or the weapon of your choice.  Rahgot is level 50, so it might take a while, but a combo of sneaking and bow should do the job eventually.

I WAS Dungeon Crawling, but I backed out.

The Necromancer at Meridia's Temple turned Lydia to ash. :( I can't get her back anymore.

Yeah, I found out after posting what quest Rahgot is from and wht level he is and decided that once I get back in game I'm leaving till later.

I tried installing SKSE and it keeps telling me to update Skyrim. Did anyone else come across this issue? I haven't figured out how to tell Steam to re-verify the game's files

[Edit]Believe it or not, I had to look at install instructions for SkyUI using the Nexus Mod Manager in order to figure out that I was missing a skse.ini file in the Data/SKSE/ directory of Skyrim.

Never say never or always. In most cases, there is an exception to anything you can think of that you might use either word in. "Most likely" and "highly improbable" in a lot of those cases would ring true, but not never/always.

I have two questions:

1) Can you rename an already enchanted item? If so, how?

2) Is there an armor penetration/ignore enchantment? If so, what is it called?

So you've got it working now Rowan?  :D

No, you can only name items you enchant at the time of enchanting.

As far as I know, there is not, but you can just put fortify attack or fortify armor enchantments on weapons and armor.

Keep in mind your enchantments will be weak for now but will get stronger as you level up enchanting.  If you plan on playing a magic user, you can afford to allocate more perks to enchanting to further buff things.  But if you want to balance out magic and physical attacks, enchanting probably isn't the best place for perks.

Assuming you max out your character, the level cap is 81.  This means you can only choose 81 perks.  Unless you get a mod that allows you to exchange dragon souls for perks...  Like I did on my second playthrough :3

I'm not getting enchanting perks (well, I got a couple), but I just want to rename my items AFTER they have been enchanted. >_<;

Yes, it works, now. I've gotten too used to the original UI, I think, though. It's taking me forever to get used to SkyUI, especially the smaller text, but it's all good.

I still don't have many enchantments, myself. Of course, I still haven't been to Solitude, either. :/
The only Enchanting Perk I bought had something to do with souls, I think.

You should be able to rename your enchantment items after you select your item, enchantment(s) and pick a soul gem, but before you craft them.

Yeah, there is no way to rename an Enchanted Weapon after crafting, which kinda sucks if you think up a better name later (I suggest just doing a new weapon up, since your enchanting will be higher and it'll be better!).

I should really purchase the DLCs finally. I've beaten everything else a couple of times, and find the game kinda boring now, but I think the DLC will change that. Maybe I can make a new character.

Rowan, hit Esc. and you should see a new option called mod settings or config or something.  Select that, and you can increase the size of SkyUI's text.  It doesn't effect text anywhere but SkyUI's menus.

So, there's no mod for renaming? :(

There might be, but it's not necessary.  You can create the same enchantment again.
