1. When scrap banking there's no such thing as a bad weapon.
2. It does cause a threat, but weapon selling has never been that easy to begin with. Also, a scrap is so cheap that many don't paying a scrap for a weapon.
3. It's 0.05 because it's not easy to sell for a scrap. Backpack.tf prices are voted by users and an admin approves it. The spreadsheet is handled by a different admin(s) who makes judgment on what he sees traders buying at.

I was trying to sell my paint today, and one guy offered 3 Stranges:

Reserve Shooter
Shortstop
Bazaar Bargain

I declined because I wanted metal instead.
Was it a good offer?
I looked at the spreadsheets and they kind of did cover my asking price especially the reserve shooter.

You just made the biggest mistake ever by believing the sheet price 100%

http://tf2tp.com/trade.php?trade=8406503
Look at what he sold that item for.

There are two rules you should follow with item offers.
1. Make sure they overpay. Why accept these items if you can't make a profit?
2. Check to see how well these items sell, and if it's worth the trouble?
If someone gives you 20 items, and you can only make a few rec, then it's not worth the aggravation in my opinion.

This was a good question, going to reword it for the video.

Oh man...
I wish I could find him again, but his name used these weird characters and for some reason he isn't showing up in the "Rcently played with" list...

Also, the spreadsheet price is the same as the one you gave - 1.66ref.
Is there any way to find him again?

By now he mostly got his paint.
There were times where someone made a decent offer, I declined. Later decided to give in but there was no way to track him down.
Recently played with I think only works if his settings are right.
We all get screwed time and time again, including me.

More bad news for you. That green paint your trying to sell just got discounted in the TF2 store. So that means everyone will be selling these items soon and demand will go down.

Bad news indeed...
How did you know it got discounted?

How did you find that price for the Reserve Shooter on the tf2post/outpost?
You just put item people offered for sale and browsed first couple of pages for any people who sold it?

There was a TF2 discount update today in the shop. Open up tf2 and look for the item.
I looked at outpost and tf2post for the first few pages

Is it possible to, actually, upgrade to premium TF2 by trading up like this?
Can people trade or add funds to your Steam Wallets/etc.?

Awesome. Estimated date of release of your next video tutorial in the series?

Also, don't you need to verify your PayPal with a Debit card/Credit card to receive payments?

Got a couple of questions after some more trading:

1. Should you scrapbank when someone gives you two identical clean items?
They could have crafted it themselves into scrap.

2. When should I start trading stranges? I already have 1 ref and 3 scrap in my backpack. Still have 7 normal weapons to sell, but in the end I'll end up with 2 ref if I don't keep scrapbanking after that.

Don't even ask for the next video..with the lack of time and everything, I don't want to set any date.

As a trader you have no reason to get a scrap banker. Even if you decide not to sell the weapon, any trader will take it.
Start trading stranges when you feel like your sick of selling weapons. You could actually of started with just 1 - 1.5 scraps.

No, what I meant is I was giving scrap away for any two clean weapons.
One guy offered me 2 same items. Is there any point in accepting same items?
I though scrap banking was about helping people to get scrap when they have no 2 weapons of the same class.

He gave me 2 sets of Tribalman's Shiv and Warrior's Spirit which are really hard to get rid of.

Well, yeah. I am actually.
So, do I just buy any stranges for the lowest and sell for the highest based on backpack.tf and tf2outpost?

Oh, unless if he's F2P that was very silly that he did that.

Just find the lowest price traders sell for, and the highest price traders sell for.

Didn't it notice it but I have enough metal for one key in my backpack now.

Therefore I'm wondering if I should go and buy one strange(for just under 1 key) or stick to buying multiple cheap stranges?

Also,

Isn't 1 key worth like $1.20?
You could buy an item for 0.99 cents from Mann Co. and become premium right?

It's easy to sell a key for $1.25 in the black market. I'm able to do $1.35, just takes some time. With luck you could get to $1.40.
The buyer pays the fees.

As far as I know, you have to put $5 in your steam. Buy  two gift wraps in the store and use the last $1 to buy a tool.

You can go cheap or expensive as long as you know the price well enough not to lose profit.
