Why so dead today?
« on: July 11, 2012, 06:43:31 PM »
It seems like GU just suddenly died today. Even the Fun House has almost no activity; which is really weird.

So, how are you guys all doing? Where'd you all go?

Anyway, for me, I've been working, writing, playing games. Interestingly enough, Assassin's Creed Director's Cut stopped working when I updated my Nvidia drivers. I tried everything. ... And then I realized that Assassin's Creed would crash unless I played without the internet on. Weird. Someone on GoG.com suggested that it might be the updater (whether the AC one or the Nvidia one, I'm not sure) trying to connect to the net.

So, I got it working and I'm happy with that.

I personally need to read more. I need more fuel for my writing. Other than that, not much is going in my life.

I just started my full-time internship a week ago, so yeah. I'll still check in when I can, but my time is getting more and more scarce, and thereby much more precious.

I need that at this point. There's so much I want to do (and have to relearn for the job and study for uni) that I have to haul ass more than ever to get all of it done. The alternative is to let things pile on me until I suffocate. By the end of this, I'll probably have a much deeper appreciation for what I can and ought to do with my time.

Mostly lurking around these and other boards and working on my game. Still desperately waiting for Guild Wars 2 (which has a release date, yays!) and Torchlight 2 (which does not have a release date, booo!). Oh and watching Game of Thrones, season 2.

August 28th Can't wait. Already have mine pre-ordered.

I've been doing absolutely nothing, sadly. No job, and I'm actually getting bored of the games I own.

I've heard of this Guild Wars II.  Guess who made the beta team?

(No, not me, but another member.)

I'm more interested in New Super Mario Bros. 2 right now.  The new Gold Flower seems kinda silly on first trailer view, but who knows?  Maybe it's limited enough to be interesting.  I'm just eager to fly with the SMB3 Raccoon Tail again!

The Racoon Tail was ruined on the DS Mario Land. They add in a cool new ability and throw it at you in almost every level…gets boring.

Well, not to derail, but I just beat Assassin's Creed - Director's Cut. Fun times. :) Now, I want AC2 from gog.com without DRM on my PC.

Edit: I also beat Omega Ridley in MP3 Corruption on Hyper Mode difficulty. Took me 6 tries before I beat him.

Lately I've been playing a lot of DDO, both with a friend and on my own. Currently playing a semi-twinked Human Rogue that can solo like a boss.
Awesome about the beating of those games. =D I love the Assassin Creed franchise, but find the games too easy.

Assassin's Creed 1 is hard, though. I've died multiple times in it from guards. o.o

And I haven't beaten Hyper Mode Corruption yet. :P But thanks! :)

I've been lurking about. Working hard at work as always and now I've also been working out at the gym in the morning before going to work. I'm slowly getting parts in for the overkill PC I'm building. I got the case, SSDs, monitor, mouse, and video cards. After I get the CPU I can start grouping other orders together like the PSU, mobo, RAM, etc. When it's done I will finally at long last be able to play all those PC games I've been wanting to get my hands on like Diablo 3, Skyrim, and I'm also considering AC since Aegis has been peeking my interest about it.

Diablo 3 is pretty fun, GW, but I am bored of it already and haven't even hit the third difficulty. I'm on the edge of my seat for Torchlight 2 now.

Assassin's Creed 3 Liberty on the Vita. Buy it them both for me. ;)
Never say never or always. In most cases, there is an exception to anything you can think of that you might use either word in. "Most likely" and "highly improbable" in a lot of those cases would ring true, but not never/always.

"Liberation," Rowan. ;P

Nah. AC3 is the last game I'm buying for awhile. I want to cut down on my gaming for a bit.
