The Looney Tunes show
« on: February 26, 2011, 11:43:48 PM »
It seems there's a new looney tunes cartoon coming in May.
Quote
The concept of the show revolves around Bugs and Daffy leaving the woods and moving to the suburbs with "colorful neighbors" including Lola Bunny, Porky Pig, Petunia Pig, Sylvester, Tweety, Granny, and Yosemite Sam. The show is also reported to feature the CGI Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner shorts and "Merrie Melodies," two-minute music videos showcasing classic characters singing original songs.

I'm curious to see what changes they make compared to the original show. Besides updating the jokes and adding in Lola Bunny(same actor as in space jam), and Petunia Pig as a main character. I'm wondering how original they will be. Hopefully they come up with some new ideas.
Here's a little sneak peak that I found.

I wasn't around for the old one, but I did like Space Jam a lot. I'll probably see a couple episodes, I doubt I'll be interested, though.

Well according to the review I heard on Space Jam that it had bad writers and was an advertisement movie.
So who knows what type of writers this show will have.

Based upon the Looney Tunes stuff that's newer than the sixties, my expectations are pretty low.
Peace and love

Well, between this and that new Thundercats show, I might have enough impetus to watch CN again.

This is quickly becoming an overly general thread. My fault I guess.

How many times can you watch those old cartoons?

Wow Wile E. Coyote in 3D. This last one made me laugh the most, especially when he uses a truck to his advantage.

It's a variety show and sitcom all rolled up in one and further proof on how low the brand has fallen. I hope the kids like it, but it's not something I'd enjoy.

Well it's different and made me laugh a bit.
So I give it points for originality.
BTW there's even more clips now on youtube.

I just watched an entire episode on TV for bugs and daffy best friends.
Even though it's different from the original series, I still enjoyed it a lot.

I saw an episode about marvin the martian coming to earth and trying to capture bugs as a earth creature specimen. Can't say I was too impressed. Its one of those shows that they just play and you never watch. Sort of like Tom and Jerry.
