Song Of Soaring Midi(or IT)
« on: September 05, 2010, 02:15:12 PM »
I found some sweet animation for song of soaring, placed it in my quest, and now the player can fly to different locations (using a TextBox for now). There's one problem, I have no song.
I searched for about 30 minutes so far but no luck.

Anyone know where I can get this song.
It's just got to be decent. The way I figure it, I'll get some/most of these songs to mp3 when OZ7 comes around.

I think I can get ahold of a .wav file.  It's up to you to use it, or find a way to convert it to midi.

I'll make an .it of it, but do you mean the 6 notes only, or the whole song (how it accelerates at the end)?
Can you post the inverted or double song of time, which I made back then? I need them to make sure the sounds match.

I'm going to rip it right from the ROM.  It's ygr best bet on getting it.  Take it or leave it, it's up to you, but you won't find a better way, i'm sure.

You can try, but Khatunis option may work best for me.

So the 6 notes only, or the whole song?

How do you rip music from N64 roms? Sounds very interesting.

Listen to the song of double time you made.
It plays the notes then it plays a few more notes afterwords.
That's all I need for the song of soaring at this point.

It will play that song when you play the ocarina, then I'll have it play again when your soaring.

That's what I assumed.  though ripping it right from the game would result in a much better sound. ;)

See attachment for soaring.it.

Are you talking about recording or really ripping from the rom?

I'm thinking now that OZ supports only an older version of .it. I used a method in ModPlug to rise the speed gradually, but it didn't work in OZ. I had to set the speed for every tone separately.

You actually gave me the other song... cool!

I just listened to the song that plays right after you play the six notes and the notes seem to be the same but it only plays 6 notes and fades(or maybe it's hold) the last note.
Could you make this as well?
I actually made it myself but you might be able to make it better. ;)

Here are the short versions of Song of Soaring and Inverted and Double Song of Time. It doesn't work for me in OZ, but neither do the original 3 songs, even though they did work in the past. I can hear only the first tone shortly.
