"It's a Wonderful World" to come stateside at last
« on: December 18, 2007, 10:05:39 AM »
I've been praying for this game to be translated, and Square seems to be taking a chance on the game.

http://www.cubed3.com/news/9153/1/It...e,_Spring_2008!

Set to be released under the name "The World Ends With You" (due to copyright and stuff. Off the top of my head there's a movie and a song with the same title)

Anywho, I got my hands on the awesome soundtrack and such, and once my R4 comes in (huzzah for early christmas gifts) I'm going to try the japanese version out, if only to get my feet wet on the decidedly busy gameplay.

Here's to niche games.

EDIT: Woops, that site only confirms the Europe release. If you poke around, though, you'll find the press release saying it's coming to America too.

Yeah, I saw this at the Nintendo World Report site.  Seems interesting and it reminds me of Earthbound when it first came out stateside.  I can already tell it's going to be a cult classic.

Fat is back, baby!

I was worried when Square-Enix decided to localize this... but it looks like they're gonna do an awesome job with it. Which is good, because It's a Wonder... Ooops... The World Ends With You is an awesome game. XD

I vaguely recognize that title...  What's the game about?

Kid named Neku wakes up in the middle of Shubiya with his memories lost, and is forced to praticipate in Death's Game. He has to complete it alongside a girl named Shiki in seven days, or they go BOOM! Dead. Game over. By the same team that did Kingdom Hearts. :p

It's really good... and it's soundtrack is win. XD

I might get it, I've looked for a RPG for the DS. But first I have to see if Tales of Innocence is getting released in Europe.

I know Kingdom Hearts was pretty good, so I'm guessing this one isn't going to be bad :)
