Well... I got Phantom Hourglass
« on: November 30, 2007, 08:01:53 PM »
I was so excited for this game, I bought it using my birthday e-card money my brother gave me.

The story is nice... but... I hate the controls. I don't really know how to roll well, and can you use the shield to defend yourself? I'm not sure how and for some odd reason, I feel like I need to "tap" something to continue this post. >.>;

Anyway, the game didn't grip me with excitement like Twilight Princess did so easily at the beginning. The ability to write things in IS nice, but... I'm exhausted with the controls.

Edit: After I got used to it, it's really fun now! ^_^

I love the controlls, And it's easy to roll don't try to make a circle just draw the pen back and forward.  But for some reason I can't seem to complete the last boss because it's impossible to write that 8 :/

I've started getting used to the controls and beat the first dungeon. I heard this game is like 10 hours of gameplay or so. Is that true?

I tried it a little at DigiExpo here, I didn't think the controls were so bad, but..well I didn't play it very much. :s Hum, at least the game convinced my friend to buy Nintendo DS. So it can't be bad at least. Think I'll get it for christmas, along with Super Paper Mario. Think that's all of the most awesome Wii and DS games...except that I still need Animal Crossing WW.

I'm getting used to it. And I do want to beat it (Tetra gets captured for Pete's sake!) to find out what happens.

**spoiler**

Though it is extremely annoying to go back and forth through the Temple of the Ocean King.

Wow, you're lucky that you have the game. I played it at my friend's house and I actually like the controls. I think it's because I don't use the touch screen very often, so Phantom Hourglass let's me use it alot. I just like using the touch screen.

Is the Wi-Fi fun for you? I thought it was a little fun for the first few times, but I became bored of it later.

I haven't gotten to try the Wi-fi yet. :( Yeah, I am lucky to have the game. I should be more grateful, because I am, and I'm bored and want to play it right now. My favorite item is the Boomerang so far. I've gotten the bombs and shovel too.

I also like the fact that you seem to have an unlimited money cap. ;)

I just picked it up today adn got the bombs and shovel as well. Making my way
to get the next sea chart. :/
I really enjoy the puzzles. The DS adds alittle more into the game. And I think it was well done. I thought I would hate it too. :O

Astrid, the fortune teller. She was behind the door and you had to yell out something really loud.

Ohhhh. Yeah. That was kinda funny. I actually managed to do a "fake" scream with my mouth fairly close to the mic and it worked. XD

I haven't even gotten this game yet and I plan on getting it if and when I have the money.

It may take me about 2-3 months before I buy it, but it's well worth the wait.
