Anyone here into that? I got it a month ago, and I'm still picking it up every so often. I'd say it's the best Sonic game to hit a console since Sonic 3 and Knuckles (come on, you didn't REALLY enjoy Shadow the hedgehog, did you?)

The controls are pretty good, albiet hard to get used to. If you play it right, though, it simulateS snowboarding fairly well (unless you unlock the other hover gear. I won't spoil it for ya)

Lots of characters to unlock, and a lot fo gear to play with. Level design is solid and fast, and get THIS: the chances of falling to a horrible death are pretty slim (except for a few stages.)

I own the GCN version myself, but I also snagged a PS2 demo and saw that the frame rate is pretty consistant (another achillies heel for recent sonic games)

SEGA fans will also be trated to some cool unlockable levels and characters. The two SEGA levels pay tribute to Space Channel 5, Billy Hatcher, Super Monkey Ball, Crazy Taxi, and more. One of my favorite shortcuts ever involves riding to a green circle on the ground hidden by a big sign. When you approach it, THE Crazy Taxi picks you up and drives you through what would have otherwise been an annoying section of the course (all while the giant green arrow directs you.)

I've heard.... decent reviews for the game. It looks real fun, real sharp, and I suppose I ought to try it before passing any judgment on it.

And no, I didn't enjoy Shadow the Hedgehog. The skating mechanic doesn't, doesn't work.
