Got myself a pair of bacon boxers and a DnD Starter Set. Very exciting.

Did they make a good breakfast with cheese? :D

The accident was actually very loud; I didn't think it would be.

You'd be surprised how much noise can be made.  Try a head-on collision.  (No, never have myself, just try it for the noise factor.)

Remeber, 80% of people think they drive better than average.

Yes, I do. :P

Seriously, though...while I can reverse and am good at it, I hate trying to judge how much space there is between the vict-...vehicle behind me and my rear end.  I like backing up so there's just enough room to walk between, but if their vehicle is sticking right into the space I'm trying to park in, chances are I'm going to slowly inch backward and finish with bumpers virtually touching.

So yes, I will touch your bumper.  I just don't care for banging into it.

Brilliant.  If not for the legal ramifications, I'd be off tomorrow to buy a box of hammers.

Or clubs.

Okay. Good luck, Rowan. I didn't know diabetes could affect the eye. o.o;

My grandmother lost both legs to diabetes and kept trucking on.  She didn't want to go.  She finally did about six and a half years ago, may she rest in peace.

Diabetes is a nasty disease that can affect anything.  It's like taking care of your teeth; you realize that bad oral care can cause not just toothaches, but also headaches?  Something to do with your teeth not staying lined up the way they should, or could be something to do with a tooth starting to decay.  I had to have a tooth pulled (documented here I believe) and trust me, it's hell.  But if I left it, I probably would have had worse problems.

Someday I'll get a new one put in or something.  I hear things like that are possible.  However, it won't have the same feel as if it were my own tooth; it will be, effectively, a dead piece of enamel or something implanted in the spot where my own tooth used to be.

But yes, diabetes can cause all sorts of issues.  Even to the eye.  I only pray I am not diabetic myself, and once I do finally have my own place for certain, I will be pledging to work out much more than I do now.  Doubt my eating habits will change however; I can't resist good burgers and wings.

Every area has its share of bad drivers IMO. I'm still new to the Greenville area in SC so I really can't comment much on it yet except that people here won't get out of your way. You take an on ramp to an interstate and the idiots in the slow lane won't move over to the passing lane to let you in.

That can happen anywhere.  It depends on whether the drivers in the slow lane at that moment are dumbasses or not.  I always go with the presumption they're not going to move and, if right, make movements indicating I'm going left.  Someone behind eventually gets the hint and I then merge safely.

(Yes, I've driven the 401 through downtown Toronto.  As far as Canada goes, that's probably one of the biggest driving tests.  Montreal isn't even that bad.)

I had a taxi make a U-turn in a major city's downtown sector before, right in front of me, without looking at me.  Had to slam the brakes on my way through a traffic light to accommodate the dumbass.

The kicker?  There was even a sign saying no U-Turns.  Ever.  And the idiot does it NEway.

I'm curious if the same person made all 10 bids however.  Or if the start and end of two IDs are simply the same two characters (a and 3) since only the seller can see them.  Either way, yes, the bidding has commenced, and with 10 bids on there one might hope it would draw clicks.

EDIT: Reread your post, I see it's the same person indeed.

That's about how much I paid for them, Cyc. :S And some people put these things up for like $20. :l@.@

I could try putting them in a bundle, Lethes. I'll try that if they fail again.

Lesson in life.  When a store sells something for $14, it's brand-new, likely just made not too long before, and people know it's a quality product.  Transfer to n amount of time later.  The item is used (even if just sitting around in your bedroom), it's being sold by a private individual, and quality isn't as guaranteed as a brand new one from the store - even if they are virtually identical.

Want to draw attention?  Start an auction at a penny.  Then, set a reserve (not $14).  You'd be lucky to get $5 for it, I would think.  But if someone is drawn in by the penny price, you might eventually get an auction finish closer to the $14 as people will see how many others actually want the product.  $14 with no bids doesn't look good to anyone viewing.

Why a penny?  Remember at a garage sale, you'd sell that for no more than a quarter.

Also, I used to sell other collectibles for over $100 that just "sit around".

Let these expire first, however.
