Here's the thing about that. There are people that transcribe physical books into ebooks out of boredom. That is how some of those ebooks are so easily obtained. Scanners make the job a whole lot easier, too. ;)

Well THAT is unavoidable, but it will be small time, and only people dead set on not buying the thing will ever find it any time soon.  It won''t be a company out of china hacking into your computer and stealing a transcript out of it like happened to the Twilight woman.

Sorry GW, a pirate's life for me.

As both a writer and a pirate, my opinion is the bigger you are, the more you have to eat in some areas, and the more you should eat in other areas.

i don't care what you are, pirating will happen, but a large company has to deal with more of it,  mean while, they get away with things like deflecting lawsuits and scamming people.  I would feel FAR MORE sorry for a big company if they had the kind of customer service a small company or a individual provides.

Also medium.  I won't ever publish an ebook for that reason, ebooks are easy to pirate. as a matter of fact if i DO publish, (aka I ever find a viable back up and fix the ***** Geek squad **** up) I'll probably do a payed physical copy and a free e copy.  but the e-copy will probably be  in the form of several novelettes released several months apart over the course of 5-10 years.  Because let's face it, sales will drop to almost nothing after 18 months or so, after 5 years , you might as well get the  exposure so people will buy the next book.

actually, that depends on your weight, fi you;re more then 10-50 pounds or so overweight(exact figures depends on your frame), you don;t want to start with walking excessively because that will destroy your legs.

Push ups, push ups, push ups, sit ups, sit ups, sit ups.  there's a reason they made such a  big deal of them in the military. once you/are if you already are near, your target weight, Cardio Cardio, cardio.  THEN large amounts of walking and running.  you can't do much walking or running if you have no stamina, and you're crushing your knees and micro fracturing the long bones ion your legs.

Diet.  Almonds, pumpkin seeds, and spices. Cinnamon needs to be organic, not the flavored sawdust from the store.  This also helps with DH,T Weight, and a variety of other things.  Garlic, peppers, etc....

basically, anti oxidants and the monounsturated fats that most of us are told to avoid because they raise cholesterol, reduce blood sugar.  A nutritionist wold probably be the best bet to BALANCE these things.

General Chit Chat / Re: Career Pursuits
« on: August 15, 2015, 05:03:10 AM »
Haven't given much time or effort to my career other than getting through school and landing a job. I did have two jam sessions with friends making indie games, but we haven't gotten back together to complete anything, on account of needing to find work and being generally busy.

Now that I'm working a steady job as a software developer, I've been thinking more about pursuing my hobbies while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Drawing, writing, learning to program for fun instead of for work, and eventually make small fan games and other passion projects as a hobby. Whether or not I land a job doing that is almost irrelevant, but if there is a next step in my career, it would be moving towards something in that area. The thought of making the next Chrono Trigger or Mega Man is an inspiring delusion, but that's more a fuzzy dream than a faraway promise.

HA! that sounds like me starting college!  Take some advice, if you REALLY want to do that, you need to put out some seriously good stuff on your own, to show employers, otherwise, you;re another college educated computer literate no experience "I want an easy job and I have a degree so I should have it" boot out the door person.

Another thing i forgot, a GU twitch loader, with Chat.  Schedule people or shows and then have GU exclusive  commentary on them for gu emmbers.

This sounds counter productive, snce you can just do this in twitch, but the reason for it is is allows this community to comment on things with its own moderators and etc, rather then having to deal witht he streamers moderators.

Good examples of this would be like the TG podcast, or member streams, or other scheduled live shows (ie the NWC or the Smash finals).

Cover Story / Fable Legends: Beta Review
« on: August 03, 2015, 09:02:48 AM »
***Disclaimer, this is the CLOSED BETA****  This is not a release candidate.

Verdict: Do not buy as is.  Wait.

Review:  The graphics are mind blowing amazing, too bad that's all they've done so far.

Complaint 1:  Quests are ONLY multiplayer ATM, which is bad because everyone's a newb (except those that do nothing but play when the grid is open) and this is a completely new system.  All the characters are damn weak, enemies are WAY over powered, and you are randomly assigned teams, which screws crap up.  You do NOT get a choice as to whether or not to join a team, you get thrown on a team as soon as you choose a quest OR stumble into one.  The is little to no single player content.

Complaint 2:  Very limited character selection, and characters are very shallow.  The current non muscle bound human male character is extremely "gay" and extraordinarily weak, even for the all the characters being weak.

Complaint 3: This is not Fable. There is no default hero/heroine that you customize an identify with.   The closest comparison I can make is  Castlevaina Lords of Shadow, failing that Dragon Age Inquisition.  It doesn't feel like Albion.  The controls are not Fable, the landscape is not Albion.  The character interactions are not Albion.

Graphics 10/10
Story/Plot 0/10
game play 5/10
Controls 5/10  Controls work, but are  like Lords of Shadow, needlessly complicated.
"Fableness": 0/10
