Buzz & Waldog (Prototype) Mapper Hack By: MottZilla This patch hacks the Buzz & Waldog prototype so it no longer uses its unique mapper #156. Instead it uses mapper #118, which is a variation of mapper #4 which is the Nintendo MMC-3. This was a quick hack and I have not fully tested it. It shouldn't have any problems but I can't promise you that. Thanks to the NEStopia source code for mapper register information. If you want to build a cartridge you must use TKSROM or modify another MMC3 board that supports 128Kb PRGROM, 128Kb CHRROM, and 8Kb WRAM (aka PRGRAM). You must modify it to 1-screen mirroring. I'm not sure how to do this yet. Games which 'might' use TKSROM are: NES Play Action Football, Pro Sport Hockey. If you wish to use this on the PowerPAK or an emulator that doesn't support the mapper 156 just patch and play. Some emulators might not recognize mapper 118 though but modern ones and the PowerPAK do recognize it. ALSO INCLUDED: Lives.ips This disables the "infinite lives" from the prototype. Might wanna use it if you build a cartridge. Cartridge Info from Bunnboy: To make a TKROM into TKSROM you just need to rewire CIRAM A10. Cut the CIRAM A10 wire that connects the mmc3 pin 10 to nes connector pin 22. Then solder a wire from nes connector pin 22 to mmc3 pin 12 (chr a17). You may have to cut the chr a17 trace that goes to the chr rom, but it should be unused on the 128KB chip anyways.
