I know at the least Kaiser Infinity was living in Miami, so I hope he's evacuated safely. Before the announced shift early this afternoon, the eye of Irma was supposed to come straight through Macon (where I live and somewhat breathe). Being that we're now in the path of the right quadrant, we're supposed to be getting hit pretty hard with wind and rain. I'll let everyone know by Wednesday if we get anything really bad. Well, I will if I can get a connection to the net, anyway ;p

Totally forgot to update y'all on this. By the time she got into Georgia, Irma was already downgraded to a tropical storm. We still got hit pretty hard, but not that bad here in Macon. I myself lost power from about 1PM till around 9PM, so I was lucky. There are still areas of Macon alone, much less the rest of the state (and of course the drastically more damaged Florida), that are still without even an estimate of when power is restored. I hope things can be rebuilt quickly, though. Many people's lives were put on hold because of this.

Yeah it's a mess. We just had a rain storm with lots of wind up here in SC. Nothing too serious. The lights flickered and that was about it. My sister who now lives in GA was evacuated and came up here to us. She's back in GA now and they have power again. They had some minor damage to their fence and a leaky roof so they got off lucky by comparison.

Audible told me they're not charging their customers who suffered Harvey for the next three months, and I pray they do that for sufferers of Irma as well.  I thought that was nice (and--SHAMELESS PLUG--a free way to get my book as well).  I hope it helps them.

That's a nice gesture. Hope they do it for Irma victims as well.
