Well, that was fun. And life is 'fun.'
« on: August 17, 2017, 12:37:03 PM »
After swapping to Chrome (because Firefox was getting laggy at start up), I wasn't able to log in. I had to reset my password. :p

My life is... not fun right now. Well, I'm getting better but...

On the 29th of July, I got pneumonia. At first, we thought it was a cold, so I waited it out, but I kept having problems sleeping at night. I would wake up about 3-4 times a night, coughing horribly, drink some water and try to sleep. Finally, I had enough, and I got some antibiotics. Those ended on the 8th, I believe. And then, I still had upper right chest pain and heavy coughing. I went back to the doctor, got a chest x-ray, and it seems that the pneumonia was still there.

So, I got more antibiotics--10 days this time--and tomorrow is my last. I feel MUCH better now. My grandparents are coming tomorrow as well (or maybe Saturday. Please, Saturday). However, I have hayfever, and pneumonia has a slow recovery process. Because of these things, I'm restricted from yardwork for at least a week. I'm really happy about this as I won't be forced into the yard. Yay!

I still have questions about job interviews and meetings as I STILL don't have a source of income. I'm close to possibly getting SSI and I have a possible job interview that I can go to next week. I just don't know if I'm still contagious, so I'm still waiting on my doctor's response for that.

I'm really glad I'm restricted from yardwork because I've been through almost three weeks of heck and I don't want to interact with my grandfather much.

Pneumonia sucks. I've had it myself. Kicked my ass, but I got through it. Yard work sucks. I don't know anyone that really enjoys it except people who tend gardens. At least you're on the mend from what it sounds like.

Pneumonia itself isn't contagious. Whatever caused it to begin with....maybe. Hope you feel better soon, man
Never say never or always. In most cases, there is an exception to anything you can think of that you might use either word in. "Most likely" and "highly improbable" in a lot of those cases would ring true, but not never/always.

What caused the pneumonia was a Hayfever attack I had two days prior... which led to the disease. The Hayfever attack had different, yet similar symptoms.

Pneumonia sucks. I've had it myself. Kicked my ass, but I got through it. Yard work sucks. I don't know anyone that really enjoys it except people who tend gardens. At least you're on the mend from what it sounds like.

I am on the mend, but I need to call someone who wants to give me a job interview and tell them I can't come yet. Hopefully... I can still get an interview with him later. :S

Not having to do yardwork is great, though!

Edit: About the interview, the guy texted me and said "call me when you're well." :D

Yeah most of the time they're understanding about it, just don't wait too long since they won't call you and will likely be interviewing others.

Bad news: Last night I was coughing violently and having upper right chest pain. And I woke up, the chest pain was gone and now it's returned after a walk and going to Walgreens to pick up some medications.

Upper right chest pain is a symptom my doctor told me to watch out for during my recovery... and it's back. Today was the last day of recovery, and that chest pain means the pneumonia is not giving up.

This is REALLY bad. I need a JOB. I NEED a source of income! I don't know what to do! I'm so scared...

So, 25th, I went in to the doctor. Had a chest x-ray, and the pneumonia is improving. It looks like I just had a random attack. However, this doctor (who is the boss of the doctor I normally see) said my recovery is going to take a little longer. He said a few weeks and I pressed him for a timeframe, so 2-3 weeks.

However, this is the recovery PHASE. I'm NOT getting more antibiotics (especially since I've gone through two sets) because the pneumonia is improving. There will be days when I feel weak and sick (today, which is sad because we have a family dinner), and other days when I will have plenty of energy. So, I can very well get job interviews and a job.

The doctor also said to use over the counter cough medicine. Dayquill seems to work the best of all I've tried.

Next time a doctor tells you to watch out for signs of something, and they show up, seek medical attention immediately, man. I'd hate to see us lose another member to death.

Don't worry, I'm not dying. The pneumonia is. :p

Also... a miracle happened. My grandparents are paying off my ENTIRE Chase Credit Card debt. GRANTED, there are some terms (such as, any money I receive from them can only be used for food, can't buy anything 'unnecessary,' unless I'm using gift cards or birthday money). I have to pay off the debt amount to them over time--so it's a loan--difference is: 0% interest, and I can pay at my own rate, and once I've paid them, I'm not bound to the terms anymore. In fact, the terms state I start paying them off when I get employed.

Which will happen since I have a temp agency eager to give me jobs. :3

Good to hear. Grandparents are the best loan sharks in the world. ;)
