Capcom to Revive Dormant IPs

In addition to regular major title releases each fiscal year, Capcom is currently focused on reviving series that have not had new entries recently, or otherwise dormant IP. Beginning with MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE, a return for the series following a five-year hiatus, Capcom looks to enhance its corporate value even further by utilizing its library of rich contents.

Also worth considering: http://www.rockman-corner.com/2016/10/capcom-recruiting-license-partners-for.html

Quote
Capcom are looking for partners to produce commemorative products in time for the following events:

Mega Man franchise 30th Anniversary (December 17, 2017)
Mega Man Zero series 15th Anniversary (April 26, 2017)
Mega Man Legends 20th Anniversary (December 18, 2017)
Mega Man X 25th Anniversary (December 17, 2018)

...

So to sum all this up, Capcom WILL be celebrating individual anniversaries for X, Zero and Legends. This doesn't necessarily mean there will be games but we can expect lots of merchandise.

Maybe we will be getting some games after all.

In the meantime, what do you guys think? Promising CapRenaissance or a saga of monkey's paws? Any Power Stone or Cyberbots hopefuls?

I'd love to see Power Stone come back. Power Stone 2 was awesome and had some really cool stages too. Power Stone coming back would be the perfect competition to Smash Bros.

I'd be surprised if we ever got another Mega Man game, it seems everything just stopped after they made MM10 and 7 - 10 still have not made it on to Steam which is a shame.

I'd like to see a MMX Anniversary collection released on Steam similar to what they did with MM 1 -6 though. That would make my day for the anniversary. :)

I don't really care much for the merchandise though. The Mega Man helmet looked cool, but I really don't have much desire to get one. It would just sit in my closet with the rest of my junk anyway. *shrugs*

Yeah, I'd love to see a real Breath of Fire 5.

Or a real Breath of Fire 6, but it looks like if we get anything worth the time, it'll be Breath of Fire 7 or a reboot.

I think I'd be down for a reboot. I would love to see the original game (and it's rockin' Japanese commercial since Toshi's still kicking) reimagined once more, especially with its crazy host of animal clans. I'd stop at Breath of Fire II for the remakes, though. Nothing wrong with Breath of Fire III or IV that ports and rereleases can't fix.

More than Mega Man, I really want to see a Breath of Fire anime.

Now that's a good idea. I miss the BOF series. I'd love to see them remaster it and release it in a collection or something. That'd be pretty awesome and if they put it out on Steam that'd be even more awesome. :)

I could go for some SNES overhaul. Both games equally wanted.
