Never be an early adopter.

You can always wait until they lower the price on it, and most importantly: when they have a better lineup of games.

Sorry, man, but I'm buying day one (if I have the money), and Breath of the Wild.

Assuming Breath of the Wild isn't delayed again. :P

I'm with Kaiser on this one. Not only will I get to avoid long lines, but I won't have to deal with those 'undocumented features' (bugs) that come out on day one as well. Besides I've already decided to wait and watch when it gets released to see if Nintendo can make me interested enough to buy it. As always it's going to come down to the games and availability so we'll see.

Lines? What lines?

A combined word: Pre-order

I'll deal with the bugs. Though, if they do delay it again, then... I won't have to deal with day one bugs. :p

I hope you're right Aegis, the Switch is Nintendo's last chance to get me to get one of their consoles again. Hopefully (for them) it'll be good.

You can have a long line of people coming to pick up their pre-orders ;).

By the way, it looks like the Switch will have a "Holiday 2017 Sonic Game", probably this:

Meh, there hasn't been a Sonic game that was a big hit in over a decade. I'm not getting my hopes up for this one. They're also having both new and old Sonic in this so that doesn't help either. I would've been more interested in it if it was Knuckles or Tails that showed up in the trailer instead of the other Sonic. It also wouldn't surprise me if in that game, player 1 is one Sonic, and player 2 is the other Sonic so they can both play 'Sonic'.

Sonic Colors was alright, though for me it's pretty close to Unleashed in terms of overall quality. Haven't played Lost World yet, but I've heard it's pretty good too.

Now, if you want to talk about hits, then you want to talk about Sonic Mania: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxmtYdEWVzo

I just saw an online demo of it. Now THAT's a Sonic game I'd like to see on the Switch, though I'll likely have it on PC before then.

What I really want is a game that redeems Shadow's character that was totally destroyed by his own game and Sonic Heroes; mostly his own game.

Sonic '06 tried to redeem it, but that game went down in flames (and I hate that game, too), and Sonic Chronicles by Bioware--if it had not been shoved under the rug--would have turned Shadow back into his BA, 'I don't need guns, I have Chaos Spear' self from SA2. Unfortunately, it was Bioware's first DS game and they didn't optimize well. But I remember reading a lot of posts of people saying "Shadow is awesome in this game!" or "This game made me like Shadow."

But I doubt Sega will do it. Heck, I heard he was using guns AGAIN in Sonic Boom. Can we take the edge out of Shadow? Please? Probably not. :/

He didn't use guns in Rise of Lyric, and arguably he's closer to his character in SA2, but he's barely in the game and his characterization is a cliched lone-wolf bad guy.

I thought I had heard he used guns again in Sonic Boom.

Oh well.

Maybe they'll make him a DLC character in Sonic Mania. It would suck, but at least he'd be playable without guns. Personally, I never thought much of Shadow. They already had a different Sonic character in Metal Sonic. They didn't need to make another.

That reminds me, will the Switch have anything to do with DLC if they're bringing back cartridges? I would image the system will have some kind of internal storage, but I haven't heard if it's for downloadable games or not. Personally, I hope it does NOT have DLC support. DLC has been a bad thing from the beginning.

I dunno about DLC, but here's a video describing how the handheld relates to the dock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyzz_GzjCEw
