This error does not show up all the time, seems to be random or something.

I also see this error frequently. I had thought it was part of the work being on the home page that was still in progress so I didn't think about it. It doesn't come up all the time for me, but it show up pretty frequently.

Is there a particular time period this is occuring? I've never seen that error. Not once. I don't even know what I can do to fix it, if anything.
Never say never or always. In most cases, there is an exception to anything you can think of that you might use either word in. "Most likely" and "highly improbable" in a lot of those cases would ring true, but not never/always.

I only see it at night, but that's usually when I'm on GU.

Here's a thought: advertising threat or forum.

We're creative people and we may eventually take that creativity into a business.  What if there was one safe place in GU to advertise such ventures?  Yes, me breaking into writing means I want to do this for my own ends as well, but still.  We have to face it: we're all "growing up" and one of the reasons we're barely here anymore is we "have more important things to do."  Maybe it would help if GU "grew up" with us (at least a little).

Thoughts?

Grew up? GU is a withering old man!
I think a better Phrase would be to retire that old man(meaning, the old ways of thinking or what GU used to be), and get some new fresh life into it.
Most of us oldbies completely moved on.

At this point, I'd try to get in touch with any newbie that joins GU, and ask their opinions on what they even want.
Or make GU a home for oldbies to log in once in a while to say hi (It kept GU going this long after all)

I disagree, it's not that GU has become a time capsule of it's past, but more like the changes and advancements that have occurred have been slow and multidirectional.   This of course does not appeal in an environment where change is solid and rapid.   The point of this thread is to determine a future direction instead of "bobbing along  on  the winds and seeing what happens"

Everything changes. Ir's what we do and how we cope with those changes that makes a difference ;]

Ok, by any chance were ya'll using *gasp* IE to view the page? That was how it popped up on other sites in the past. Regardless, I MIGHT have fixed it.

Here's a question about moving forward: is anyone passing this site along anymore?  There's plenty of kids who like gaming who'd be happy to come to this site.  I passed it to Squishy (now Ice Punch) and she'll mention it to her friends.  Let's spread the word again:^)
