Anti-Spam page driving members away?
« on: October 10, 2011, 01:08:56 PM »
I'm wondering if the anti-spam page is driving members away. I usually ignore it until I can access the site without seeing it, but I realized that I could bypass it by doing the anti bot calculations.

Perhaps an email should be sent out to tell the members that you can bypass the page by doing the calculations on the front?

I've never encountered the page you're talking about.

yes, really.  It's never happened to me, and I've not heard of anyone else getting it other than you.

I haven't encountered it, either. Are you using TOR or a firewall?
Peace and love

I also have not encountered it. Try going directly to the forums instead of the main site.

The Mod Aegis is referring to uses an IP address blacklist to weed out spammers. Obviously it would catch a few people that are unfortunately stuck with an IP someone else has used that was spamming.
Never say never or always. In most cases, there is an exception to anything you can think of that you might use either word in. "Most likely" and "highly improbable" in a lot of those cases would ring true, but not never/always.
