General Chit Chat / Who have you met?
« on: March 27, 2002, 02:03:49 PM »
You guys are lucky to have seen and met someone famous.  My hometown is small enough that it doesn't even have a dot on the map so you can image how often famous people stop by.

However, my Grandmother did get to meet Elvis once when she was a waitress at one of the rest areas on one of the interstate highways.  It was before Elvis got really big was when we was traveling around by car.

Then there's my Mother and the rest of my family that went to see the Power Team because they were having a concert that was relatively close by and they got to talk directly with some of the members afterwards.  I on the other hand had to work so I missed it.  Oh well, I guess that some people just don't get to see famous people while others do.

Speaking of which, I remember seeing an article a while back about some people who went and bought X-Boxes and that some of them didn't work.  Or worked for one game and then crashed and never recovered.  This was back when the X-Box was first released.  If I remember right most if not all of those people were not happy with the support that M$ had for it.  I guess that M$ still has a lot to learn when it comes to supporting their products.

I found this quite amusing actually.  I made me glad that I don't have the automatic update feature turned on.  Especially after I deleted it.

LOL!!  That Pandora reminds me of one of my cats at home.  I would swear that he has everyone trained.  In the morning he wants to go outside so he will come in and jump around on us until one of gets up to let him out.  If we ignore him he'll jump on our faces.  What I find odd is that he does this without any claws.  If only seen him use his claws outside when he brings his shreaded "preasants" home.

Another one of our cats (we have 4) will hope up on my lap and every time I try to move it will growl at me.  It's even stratched me a couple times so that I wouldn't get up.  To this day I still don't know why she was named Cuddles and is the smallest cat in the house especially when she chases our dog around the house.

The other two are the oldest and don't do too many odd things anymore.  They just like to sleep.

lol, Quite right, cats have EVERY reason to think that they're better than us because they're right.  We humans always end up feeding them and cleaning their litter box and so on...

I can't speak for everyone, but I would certainly feel like a king if I had everyone doing stuff for me." border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':king:'>

Right now there are over 2000 pictures in it that I'm going to go through and choose about five for a speech I have to give tomorrow.

That sucks.  Isn't it odd how much you realize you depend/need/use something until you can't use it?  Reminds me of when we loose power back home in bad weather.  I never realized how much we used it until it was gone.

Ah yes Mexican food.  It has been a while since I've had it.  Just thinking about it make me want to go get a taco or two...

Do they really?  I've never been to the Dairy Queen down near where I live back home.  Perhaps next time I'm home I should go there...

It's been a while since I've seen a topic like this so what's everyone's favorite food.  Mine's a bacon cheese burger with a double thick chocolate milk shake to drink.

General Chit Chat / Spring Break
« on: March 30, 2002, 06:16:08 AM »
Today after my Saturday class I'm going back home for spring break.  That's the good news because I'll get to spend time with family.

The bad news is that my time online will be scarce for the next week.  I'll still be online, but my regular postings will drop a bit until I come back to college.

I'm NOT looking forward to going back to dialup for the break.  I'm going to miss my downloads of 100 to 400 k/s." border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('>

Just so everyone knows ahead of time.
